Teal powder coated brake caliper behind a gunmetal wheel

Brake caliper painting & powder coating in Ipswich

Freshly finished wheels show up every bit of rust on the brake calipers behind them. Caliper refinishing is the detail that makes a set of wheels look like a factory performance package.

We remove the calipers, blast them clean, mask the seals and pistons, and powder coat them in the colour of your choice. Lettering and logos can be added before the clear coat. It is a proper heat-resistant finish, not a brush-on kit.

FAQ

Brake caliper painting: your questions

Is powder coating calipers better than painting them?

Far better. Brush-on caliper paint fades and flakes within a year or two. Powder coat is baked on and rated for brake temperatures, so it stays glossy for years.

How long does caliper painting take?

Usually 2–3 days because the calipers have to come off, be coated and go back on with the brakes bled. We can do it at the same time as a wheel refurbishment so you only lose the car once.

Can you colour match the calipers to the wheels or the car?

Yes — any RAL colour or a sample you bring in.
